Dec Ramsay is a queer alternative artist making anthemic indie pop, raised across Aotearoa New Zealand and now based in London. Mentored by songwriter Peter Jefferies as a teenager in New Plymouth, Dec moved to Wellington to study and cut their teeth as a live performer in the city's 2010s music scene. Dec returns in 2026 with their debut single, “Gretchen Ross”.

The track reflects on the aftermath of an abusive and violent relationship Dec left in 2015, transforming that experience of survival into a song built on resilience, healing, and ultimately defiance.
